Wagner Boss Feared Dead After Russia Plane Crash

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner Group, has died in a plane crash in Russia, along with nine other individuals on board.
Prigozhin was known for his connections to the

Wagner Group, and he was often referred to as "Putin's chef" due to his catering businesses hosting dinners attended by Vladimir Putin and foreign dignitaries.
While previously denying any affiliation with the Wagner Group, Prigozhin admitted in September 2022 on VKontakte that he had founded the group. He claimed to have organized and supported the group's activities.
Prigozhin stated that he initiated the group's formation in 2014, called it the Wagner Battalion, and personally arranged weapons and equipment for them.
He had taken legal action against various media outlets like Bellingcat, Meduza, and Echo of Moscow for linking him to the Wagner Group, which officially does not exist.
Prigozhin's death comes as a significant development, considering his alleged involvement with the Wagner Group and its secretive operations.
