Court fails to sit, adjourns Seun Kuti’s trial till Wednesday May 24

The trial of afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, was stalled at the Yaba Magistrate court in Lagos state this morning May 23,

following the absence of Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun.

No reason was given for the absence of Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun who has been presiding over the case.

Kuti was brought to the magistrates’ court but upon learning of the absence of the magistrate, he was immediately taken to the police station at Panti. The case has been adjourned till Wednesday, May 24.

Recall that last week, the police approached the court for an extension of its order to remand Seun till Tuesday, May 23.

Seun is being tried after a video of him assaulting a police officer on Third mainland bridge surfaced online.
