Kidnappers of Abuja pastor’s wife, daughters demand N50m ransom

Armed men who abducted a woman and her daughters in Pegi community in the Kuje Area Council of Abuja have made contact with the

victims’ family.

The PUNCH had reported that the victims were kidnapped from their home late Saturday.

It was gathered that the father, a pastor, was away when the attack happened.

The spokesman of the FCT Police Command, Daniel Ndiparya, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident, saying “efforts are being made by the command to ensure that the victims are rescued.”

However, a family source told our correspondent on Monday that the abductors have reached out to the family.

The source said they heard the cry of the victims and were pleading to ensure they pay for their release.

The source said, “Their abductors have reached out. They called on Sunday night and were demanding N50 million.

“We heard the cries of the woman and her children in the background.

“They were pleading for payment to be made as soon as possible.

“There is nowhere we can get this money from. It is far above our means.”
