Lagos state Assembly adopts report to stop houses for ex-governors, others


The Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday acceded to a report by its committee on establishment which suggested the implementation of a 50% cutback on the 


pensions of former governors and other officials in the state.


The committee also annulled the provision of in Abuja and Lagos for former governors as stated in the earlier laws of the state.


The report further recommended a decrease in the number of vehicles given to former governors and their deputies.


The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, suggested that former governors should get two vehicles (a car and a van) rather than three as recommended by the committee.
