Nigerian youths burn down Imo police station after a Nigerian police allegedly killed two siblings

Angry youths in Imo state stormed a police station in the state and set it on fire after two siblings were allegedly killed by a police officer.


According to locals, a young man named Chinanu Okonkwo and his sister Chinyere Okonkwo from Umuderim Community, Ihitte Uboma, Imo State, were allegedly killed by a Nigerian police officer this morning, March 9.




Eyewitnesses claim the brother and sister were killed at Isiweke, the headquarters of Ihitte Uboma council area of Imo State.


Asides burning the police station closest to the location where the siblings were allegedly killed, the angry youths also burnt patrol vehicles and freed all detainees at the police station as policemen on duty scampered for safety.


They then dumped the bodies of the victims at the police station.
