Angry Mob loots Dogara’s house in Jos

The house of Yakubu Dogara, former speaker of the house of representatives, in Jos, Plateau state capital, has been reportedly attacked by a mob.

According to The Punch, the house located near Jos University Teaching Hospital was attacked by a group of people on Sunday morning.

The development is coming amid the 24-hour curfew announced by the state government to curb the spread of violence.

It was reported that mob who were in search of COVID-19 palliatives looted the building.

Police officers and other security operatives in the area were said to have shot in the air to disperse the crowd.

In the past few days, there have been several attacks on public infrastructure across the country as citizens loot government warehouses.

Governors imposed curfews in the states to forestall the further breakdown of order, but the restrictions have been violated by citizens who troop out in search of warehouses to loot.
